In the transaction, ISP acquired Bode’s range of industrial biocide products for the metalworking fluids, paints and coatings, and building and construction markets. Bode Chemie will continue its hygiene and disinfectants business.

The acquisition of Bode’s biocides business expands ISP’s existing biocides portfolio and follows the acquisitions of Progiven S.A.S. and the biocides assets of Milker & Grüning GmbH during 2006 and Biochema in 2004. In addition, ISP continues to make investments to support its key products for the purposes of complying with the European Biocidal Products Directive.
