The Paint Research Association (PRA) has announced the formation of a new partnership with Safinah Ltd. to provide an expanded global consultancy for the marine and protective coatings industry.

LONDON – The Paint Research Association (PRA) has announced the formation of a new partnership with Safinah Ltd. to provide an expanded global consultancy for the marine and protective coatings industry.

For many years PRA has provided independent technical investigation and inspection services for marine and protective coatings, although sometimes limited in geographic reach. As part of its mission to be the essential connector in the global surface coatings industry, in support of innovation and growth of its member companies, PRA can now provide a truly global response to marine and protective coatings technical problems and disputes.

Founded in 1998, Safinah specializes in providing independent advice and training on the whole chain of activities that links ships, structures, coatings and the environment. With a strong track record in marine consultancy, Safinah complements PRA’s emphasis on protective coatings and independent laboratory investigations. Together, the two teams will be able to quickly identify the best consultant to respond to client’s issues.

Jonathan Bournem, Managing Director, PRA, commented on the partnership, “We are delighted that Safinah has joined as Associate Members of PRA and agreed to work together for the benefit of both our organizations and our clients. Between us we have a significantly expanded capacity to address a wide range of coatings-related issues in the global marine and protective markets.”
