Nuplex Resins has announced a price increase for coating resins sold in North America effective July 7, 2008. The increase will be approximately 5-11 percent and will affect all solvent and waterborne products, including alkyds, acrylics, polyesters, emulsions and amino resins. The primary drivers forcing this announcement are the unrelenting rise in raw material costs for petrochemical-driven raw materials and the energy costs used in the manufacture of resins.
