WEST PATERSON, NJ ― Cytec Industries Inc. has announced price increases for its CYMEL®, MELMAC®, BECKAMINE® and UFORMITE® amino resins on all shipments in North and South America on or after Sept. 15, 2008, or as contracts allow. The price increases by product family in U.S. $/lb are: benzoguanamine ($0.60), conventionals ($0.25), high solids ($0.25), waterborne high imino ($0.10) and HMMM ($0.18).

 

The company also announced price increases of three to six percent for all of its CRYLCOAT® powder coating resins, and for its ADDITOL® additives and MODAFLOW® flow agents used in powder coating applications. The price increases will take effect on shipments in North and South America on or after Sept. 15, 2008, or as contracts allow.

 

These changes are in addition to the previously announced methanol surcharge that became effective Jan. 1, 2008, and the price increases for liquid coating resins and additives that became effective July 15, 2008.
