KARLSRUHE, Germany – Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is offering a global program this year of basic rheology seminars and specialist seminars on various subjects in material characterization.
 
With a focus on specific applications along with hands-on instruction, these seminars are designed to help users optimize their current application as well as develop new and innovative applications. Seminars are being held at the company’s training centers in Karlsruhe (Germany), Somerset (New Jersey), Breda (the Netherlands), Paris (France), Mumbai (India) and Shanghai (China).
 
At one-day compact seminars, attendees receive instruction on how rheological measuring methods can be used efficiently. Led by multidisciplinary speakers, rheological topics are either covered in general or focus on a specific applications.
 
The basic seminar, "Applied Rheology," provides detailed theoretical and practical knowledge to enable attendees to carry out and interpret rheological measurements in a qualified manner. This seminar includes the following modules, which can also be booked individually: basics and rotational testing, Thermo Scientific HAAKE RheoWin Software, and viscoelasticity, creep and oscillatory testing.
