DECATUR, IL - Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM), Decatur, IL, has named Robert Broomham Business Director of Industrial Chemicals. He will report to Ed Harjehausen, Senior Vice President, Global Corn.

 

“Biobased industrial chemicals made from renewable feedstocks meet two needs we’re seeing in the global marketplace: the desire to improve a product’s environmental footprint and the desire to reduce the use of petroleum-based products,” Harjehausen said. “As one of the world’s largest processors of renewable feedstocks, ADM is uniquely positioned to succeed in this area.”

 

“With more than 20 years of experience in the chemical industry, Robert is exceptionally well qualified to lead our chemicals business,” Harjehausen added. “We are excited about the expertise he will bring to ADM as we grow this business and provide customers with high-quality alternatives to petroleum-based industrial products.”

 

Broomham recently served in business and commercial leadership positions for The Dow Chemical Co. and previously held positions within that company in sales, marketing and government public policy.
