CHICAGO -- The 4th Annual Biopolymers Symposium will be held Sept. 28–Oct. 1, 2009, at the Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown/Lakefront hotel, Chicago, IL.

The event has combined the Biodegradable Plastics for Packaging Applications and Commercializing Bioresins into one major conference. The Biopolymers symposium is now the event where new technologies, market trends, developments in applications, new guidelines and waste strategies are presented each year. Featured sessions include: a CEO’s session from the largest biopolymer manufacturers: Natureworks, Novamont and Plantic; a global market overview of North America, Europe and Asia; a symposium reviewing new procurement guidelines; and case studies presented by Timberland, Grupo Bimbo, Nissan and Newell Rubbermaid.

Bookending the symposium are the Wal-Mart Scorecard Seminar on Sept. 28 and the Ecolabeling Summit on Oct. 1. These events will complete the experience by covering procurement and certification issues.
