AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - Pieter Schoehuijs has been appointed AkzoNobel's new Chief Information Officer (CIO).
 
A Dutch national, Schoehuijs joined the company from Church & Dwight Corp. in New Jersey, where he held the position of Vice President and CIO. Prior to this position, he was the Global IT Director at BASF Catalyst, formerly Engelhard, also located in the United States.
 
Schoehuijs brings to AkzoNobel a wealth of international IT experience gained in a number of industries, including consumer goods, chemicals and general manufacturing. 
 
Schoehuijs succeeds Gerard Helmink, who is retiring later this year.
