FLORHAM PARK, NJ – Effective Oct. 1, 2009, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its off-list prices in North America by U.S. $0.05 per pound for butanediol (BDO), tetrahydrofuran (THF), Polytetramethylene ether glycol (PolyTHF®), gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP).

 

Effective Sept. 4, 2009, or as contracts allow, BASF is increasing its prices by up to U.S. $0.06 per wet pound in the United States and Canada for all STYROFAN® and STYRONAL® styrene-butadiene latex products used in the adhesives, architectural coatings, sealants, construction, paper and nonwovens markets.

 

Also effective Sept. 4, 2009, or as contracts allow, BASF is increasing its prices by up to U.S. $0.09 per wet pound in the United States and Canada on all BUTONAL® and BUTOFAN® styrene-butadiene high- and medium-solids latex products used in the adhesives, carpet, construction, fiber bonding, automotive and foam markets.
