BERLIN, WI – Phoenix Coaters has announced plans to construct a new 303,000-square-foot building in Beaver Dam, WI, to house a new state-of-the-art e-coat and topcoat paint system. The building will be constructed in Beaver Dam’s Lakeside Business Park. The paint system will be fully operational by June of 2010 and more than doubles Phoenix Coaters’ coating capabilities.

The paint system is a combination cathodic SST electrocoat and topcoat system (liquid and powder) for coating steel and aluminum parts. Fifteen pre-treatment stages can be run on the SST electrocoat system in random sequence without any impact on the throughput of the system. The work envelope size through the coating system is six feet long by eight feet high and 14 ½ feet wide and is capable of coating 32 tons of product per hour.

“Our customers have shown enthusiasm in supporting this strategic investment,” commented Bob Wiedenhaft, Vice President of Phoenix Coaters. “Our company will benefit and grow as our customers look for improved product finishes on larger size parts and look to consolidate their demand to fewer suppliers. Phoenix Coaters offers a full range of high-technology coating services, including large-capacity shot blasting, electro-coating, liquid and powder coating and value-added product assembly, kitting and logistical services.”
