RICHMOND, CA – Berkeley Analytical, an independent chemical emissions testing laboratory for product compliance with LEED, CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance Schools), and other rating and certification systems, is now accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005, general criteria for the competency of testing laboratories. Accreditation demonstrates Berkeley Analytical’s technical competence for the methods in its scope and for the operation and effectiveness of its laboratory Quality Management System.

“Customers depend on reliable testing of organic chemicals to advance product performance and reduce chemical risks to human health and the environment,” said Raja Tannous, Co-founder and Laboratory director for Berkeley Analytical. “During the accreditation process, we submitted our laboratory’s Quality Management System and our primary test methods to thorough review, and we’re pleased to have independent validation that we deliver consistently high-quality services to our customers.”

International Accreditation Service (IAS) awarded accreditation to Berkeley Analytical in April 2009. Customers may now list Berkeley Analytical as an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited supplier in their own quality systems.
