KANSAS CITY, MO - Cook Composites and Polymers (CCP) celebrated its 20-year anniversary as a company on Feb. 9, 2010. CCP was formed out of a joint-venture partnership between Total Chimie of Paris, France, and the Cook Paint and Varnish Co. of North Kansas City, MO.
 
CCP is an industry leader to the coatings and composites markets. It has participated in the purchase or joint-venture partnerships of approximately 12 manufacturing and distribution companies over its 20-year history. These alliances continue to strengthen the company through product innovation, industry commitment and the educational leadership CCP is known for today.
 
There have been many highlights since CCP's inception. One of the most recent is recognition in the area of "green" chemistry development, as the company received the 13th Annual Presidential Green Chemistry Award, administered by the EPA, in 2009. To further promote education in the industry, CCP opened the doors to a new technology training center in 2007. This facility supports the education of CCP customers, employees and other professionals with industry-related topics in both a classroom and hands-on environment.
 
Headquartered in Kansas City, MO, CCP has manufacturing facilities throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. CCP affiliate companies include TOTAL, Cray Valley, Sartomer, Reacciones Quimicas, Peninsula Polymers and Progress Plastics, among others.
