DELAWARE, OH – The PPG Industries Foundation has donated $5,000 to Recreation Unlimited, a nonprofit organization serving individuals with disabilities and health concerns through sports, recreation and education. The donation will help in efforts to develop an accessible environmental and historical trail honoring the Native Americans who lived in the local area.

"We are very pleased to have received support from PPG for development of the new trail," said Paul L. Huttlin, Executive Director and CEO of Recreation Unlimited. "The donation helped to fund the first phase of this trail."

Recreation Unlimited, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2008, currently serves about 3,700 individuals with disabilities and health concerns. It represents up to 14 physical and developmental disability groups from 57 counties in Ohio and five surrounding states. The Indian Run Trail that Recreation Unlimited is developing will be an accessible environmental and historical trail honoring the Delaware Indians, or Lenape, who lived in the area. It will include interpretive signs and specific activities that teach visitors about the relationship between nature and the life activities of a Delaware Indian.
