LOCKPORT, NY – VanDeMark Chemical Inc., Lockport, NY, has opened a new business office in West Yorkshire, UK. Patricia Hughes has been appointed Head of Sales & Business Development for the office, responsible for market development, sales and customer service throughout Europe.

Founded in 1951, VanDeMark manufactures phosgene-based products and intermediates used in agrochemical and pharmaceutical preparations, polymers and plastics, coatings, sealants and adhesives, and dyes and pigments. The company offers a variety of standard products and also develops proprietary products at laboratory and plant production levels.

 

Hughes joins VanDeMark having acted in a business advisory role since 2005. Prior to this, she worked 17 years for C6 Solutions Ltd. (formerly Hickson & Welsh), a chemical producer, where she held various positions, most recently as Business Development Manager.
