INDIANAPOLIS -- Specialty Coating Systems (SCS) announced new dates for its Brussels and Paris Parylene seminars, which were inadvertently cancelled last spring due to the Icelandic volcano eruption. The one-day seminars, which will be held on October 21 (Brussels) and 22 (Paris), introduce Parylene coating solutions for the medical device, electronics, automotive and aerospace industries. A seminar in Copenhagen has also been added to the fall agenda for October 18, 2010. An SCS technical specialist will present the seminars, which discuss Parylene conformal coatings as a surface modification solution for numerous material, component and device challenges.

Parylene conformal coatings are ultra-thin, pinhole-free polymer coatings that offer many valuable surface treatment properties, including excellent moisture, chemical and dielectric barrier properties, thermal and UV stability, and dry-film lubricity.

The seminars appeal to engineers in many disciplines, including R&D, design, manufacturing, quality, materials and electronics, as well as to those involved in regulatory affairs and product management.
