HATTIESBURG, MS - Organizers of The Waterborne Symposium have issued a call for papers, welcoming papers pertaining to new and emerging technologies related to materials, processes, production, characterization, application and markets in the field of surface coatings. Session topics include: waterborne, nano, emulsion, additives, corrosion, UV, pigments and powder coatings.

Papers will be selected based on the submitted abstracts. Papers judged to be principally commercial in nature will not be accepted. Papers must be original and represent recent advancements in coatings science and related disciplines. The deadline for submitting abstracts is August 15, 2011. The paper submission deadline is December 2, 2011.

A three-day coatings conference, sponsored by the School of Polymers and High Performance Materials at The University of Southern Mississippi, The Waterborne Symposium will offer a dual-track forum for professionals who develop, research, specify or use additives, resins, solvents, pigments and coatings, as well as for coatings manufacturers, end-users and sales personnel. It will take place February 13-17, 2012, at the New Orleans Marriott, New Orleans, LA.
