PITTSBURGH – LANXESS Corp., one of the world’s largest producers of iron oxide and chromium oxide pigments, announced that two of its North American distributors for Bayferrox® inorganic pigments will expand their territories beginning January 1, 2012.
Dowd and Guild Inc., currently focused on the Southwest United States, will take over additional responsibility for pigment sales in the Pacific Northwest region, to include Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.
LV Lomas Limited, the company’s current distributor in eastern Canada, will also add western Canada, including Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, to its territory.
Both distributors will sell the pigments to the coatings, plastics and specialty markets. “With the expansion of these premier distributors’ networks, we will be even better positioned to serve our customers throughout North America with high-quality pigments and exceptional technical support that they know and expect from LANXESS,” said Roland Flindt, Head of the Inorganic Pigments Group for North America.
In addition to Bayferrox iron oxide pigments, they will also distribute LANXESS’ Colortherm portfolio, heat-stable pigments tailor made for the plastics industry.
