IST METZ, along with several partners, has established a UV coatings application center in Cleveland, OH. The center allows customers to spray a range of liquid or powder coatings with a variety of spray guns, including conventional air spray, high-volume low-pressure (HVLP), turbine-powered HVLP and rotary atomizers. The lab has convection and infrared curing ovens to help flow and level coatings on metal, plastic, wood and composite parts. A range of UV lamps, including mercury, gallium, iron and doped, is available to cure virtually any formulated UV coating. According to the company, the lab uses the latest state-of-the-art electronic lamp control (ELC) power supply for optimum control and output uniformity.
