PPG Industries has named Patrick J. Kenny to the newly created position of general manager, corporate marketing and construction markets. Kenny has been manager of PPG's construction market team since 2003, and now assumes the additional responsibility of leading PPG's corporate marketing initiatives. He will continue reporting to Dick Beuke, vice president, growth initiatives.

Kenny joined the company in 1980 in marketing and progressed through various project management, sales and sales management positions in PPG's performance glazings business. In 1989, Kenny moved to Hong Kong as director of sales for a PPG glass joint venture; in 1993, he was promoted to marketing manager, flat glass, and he became director of marketing, flat glass in 1999. In 2003, Kenny was appointed business manager of PPG's construction market team.
