Michael Siegmund, executive vice president of MacDermid, Inc., will present the keynote address at the 4th Annual Southern Metal Finishing Conference, September 23-25 in Charleston, SC. Siegmund’s presentation will deal with issues relevant to the globalization of the metal finishing industry.

Michael Siegmund, executive vice president of MacDermid, Inc., will present the keynote address at the 4th Annual Southern Metal Finishing Conference, September 23-25 in Charleston, SC. Siegmund’s presentation will deal with issues relevant to the globalization of the metal finishing industry, the effect of international competition on individual companies and job shops, and insights on how finishing operations can compete in this new, flat world.

Siegmund received his bachelor’s degree in applied science from the Engineering School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s of science degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the second generation of MacDermid vice presidents in his family, following his father. He currently lives with his family in Greenwich, CT, and works at MacDermid’s American headquarters in Waterbury, CT.
