Schaffner Manufacturing Co., a producer of custom metal finishing products, has been named a winner of Masco Corp.'s 2007 MASTAR Awards. The Masco Supplier Team Recognition Program acknowledges suppliers' outstanding product quality, on-time delivery, clear communication, effective follow-up and competitive pricing. Masco is the parent company of Delta Faucet, a major plumbing fixture manufacturer that Schaffner supplies with finishing and buffing products. Schaffner is one of 12 MASTAR Award winners, which include corporate heavyweights Akzo Nobel, Cargill, PNC Bank, PPG Industries and Verizon Wireless. This occasion marks the second time that Schaffner has received a MASTAR Award.

Companies winning a MASTAR Award must be aligned with Masco in providing the highest quality products and services at the lowest total cost through improved efficiencies, innovative technologies and creative business solutions.

The MASTAR Award is part of Masco's Supplier Collaborative Cost Reduction Evaluation (S.C.O.R.E.) Program. Under the S.C.O.R.E. initiative, Masco promotes mutual competitiveness with strategic suppliers. Such improvements may occur within Masco or the supplier's company and can include process improvement, process elimination, reformulations, capacity utilization, standardization, waste elimination, recycling, new product development, and collaborative engineering.
