IMCD Expands in the Asia-Pacific Region
SINGAPORE - IMCD Group, a global specialty chemicals and food ingredients company, has strengthened its position in Asia-Pacific with two major acquisitions in India and Australia.
IMCD India acquired the business of Mata Polymers Pvt Ltd., an established player in the silicone, textile and construction markets, while IMCD Australia entered into a strategic partnership deal with Infineum Australia Pty Ltd. (IAPL), which will be fully integrated into the IMCD Australia organization by the end of this month.
“With a reputation of a highly transparent partner in Europe and our plans to aggressively expand in Asia over the coming years, IMCD continues with its goal to be a preferred distributor for the leading suppliers of specialty products in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Piet van der Slikke, CEO of IMCD Group. “These two acquisitions offer IMCD a possibility to further align with some of our major suppliers.”
