EDINBURGH, Scotland - Exova, a dedicated testing group, has been recognized for the quality of its work by being named on the UK Ministry of Defence’s Framework Agreement for Technical Support (FATS).

The ministry’s latest Framework Agreement for Technical Support (FATS) includes Exova as a supplier for 20 specialist fields, known as Narrow Capability Areas. These include metals and metal matrix composite technology, materials research, marine vehicles, and rail transport.

Exova will be a supplier on the FATS framework until April 2014 following a six-month competitive tender exercise by the MoD. A number of Exova services may be called on including those serving sectors in aerospace, fire safety technology, general engineering and energy.

The FATS agreement has been developed to enable fast and efficient procurement of technical support in “the provision of applied technical knowledge” and includes technical studies, project support and engineering support.
