HOUSTON – Officials with U.S. Zinc, Houston, announced Rodrigo Daud has been promoted to President of the company. The former Votorantim Executive Vice President of Commercial Zinc for the global market, Daud will be responsible for promoting the global integration and leveraging the results of U.S. Zinc.

As EVP of Commercial Zinc, Daud developed new markets and products for the company’s presence in Brazil and Peru. He also served as the head of operations at one of the plants of Votorantim’s nickel business for three years. Throughout his tenure at Votorantim Metais, of which U.S. Zinc is an affiliate, Daud rapidly progressed in experience and responsibility, working in areas such as maintenance, engineering and production.

U.S. Zinc is a worldwide manufacturer, recycler and supplier of zinc oxide, zinc dust, zinc metal and zinc fines. With plants in North America, South America and Asia, the company is an affiliate of Brazilian-based Votorantim Metais, one of the five largest zinc producers in the world.
