Oxea Increases Prices of Several Products
DALLAS - Oxea is increasing list and off-list prices on polyols effective February 1, 2013, or as contracts allow. In North America, neopentylglycol and trimethylolpropane will increase by $0.05 per lb. In Latin America and Asia, neopentylglycol and trimethylolpropane will increase by $100/mt.
The company also announced an increase in carboxylic acids. Effective February 1, 2013, or as contracts allow, n-valeric acid will increase EUR 100/to in Europe, $0.06/lb in North America and $130/to in the rest of the world. In North America, 2 ethyl hexanoic acid, n-butyric acid and i-butyric acid will increase by $0.05/lb. In the rest of the world, 2 ethyl hexanoic acid, n-butyric acid and i-butyric acid will increase by $100/to.
Effective February 1, 2013, or as contracts allow, n propanol (list price, Zone 1: $1.45/lb) and n propyl acetate (list price, Zone 1: $1.43/lb) will increase $0.03/lb in the United States, Canada and Mexico. In South and Central America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, n propanol and n propyl acetate will increase $66/mt.
