EDINBURGH, Scotland - Exova’s corrosion control scientist, Dr. Chris Fowler, has been named a Fellow of NACE International, the world’s largest organization dedicated to the study of corrosion.
Fowler, Global Director of Corrosion at Exova, has received the NACE Fellowship in recognition of his longstanding contribution to corrosion science, engineering and prevention.
The fellowship award follows Fowler’s election in September as President of the recently formed NACE Institute, which is part of NACE International.
During his three-year term, Fowler will lead the institute’s activities, including recognition programs and public affairs projects. In addition, the institute will identify international best practices in corrosion management through greater levels of certification.
Fowler’s position in the corrosion industry goes back to 1989 when he became a member of NACE. Since then, he has undertaken numerous roles in the organization’s European region and served as International Director for the European region on the NACE board, before taking up his presidency in 2010.
