SAVANNAH, GA – Arizona Chemical, Jacksonville, FL, has broken ground on its newest Science & Technology Center in Savannah, GA. The 27,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open in December 2013 and is expected to cost $10 million to build. The Savannah S&T Center will be home to Arizona Chemical’s U.S. research & development activities and will replace the company’s existing research facility in Savannah.

When complete, the new Savannah S&T Center will be home to more than 50 scientists and support staff focused on developing bio-based solutions for the company’s customers. The center is being built on the company’s existing property in the Hudson Hill community. In addition to the S&T Center, the company also has a large refinery in Savannah.
