Although the final count hasn’t been announced yet, it looks as if the number of delegates who attended the ECC could be higher than any previous year. With 144 presentations and 24 sessions, the Congress offered coatings professionals and students many new innovations and ideas. Sessions included automotive coatings, epoxy coatings, bio-based coatings, insulating coatings, printing inks, dispersions and surfactants, measuring and testing, radiation curing, protective coatings, waterborne coatings, titanium dioxide utilization, adhesives and sealants, construction chemicals, architectural coatings, anti-microbial coatings, functional materials, polyurethanes, nanotechnology, weathering testing, and wood coatings. This year the Show and Congress overlapped by only one day, giving attendees more time to visit the booths and network with colleagues.
