LEATHERHEAD, England - Smithers Rapra is hosting The Pigment and Colour Science Forum, taking place October 1-3, 2013, in Rome, Italy. This new conference for 2013 combines the well-established Future of Pigments and the Colour Cosmetics Summit. The three-day conference and workshops will attract industry experts including: academics involved in pigments; research entities; color designers; major pigment manufacturers; industrial standards officers; pigment tooling, measuring and consistency companies; and buyers in the areas of plastics, coatings, cosmetics, paper and printing inks.

“The Pigment and Colour Science Forum constitutes a shift in event design,” said Andrew Smaha, Smithers Rapra Conference Director. “After years of successful co-located Future of Pigments and the Colour Cosmetics Summit events, industry leaders have expressed that there is no longer a need to present separate tracks for their sectors. We are therefore launching one campaign, with a deeper connection between academic study, R&D, performance engineering and industry. After exhaustive conversations with advisors and attendees, we were able to put our finger on the fact that all in attendance were, at their essence, devoted to pigment and color science for various end-use industries.”
