Connell Brothers Buys Australian Enzyme Distributor
MELBOURNE, Australia – Connell Bros. Co. Australasia Pty Ltd., a subsidiary of Wilbur-Ellis Co., has acquired the business of Enzyme Solutions Pty Ltd., based in Melbourne, Australia. The acquisition will expand Connell Brothers’ ingredient portfolio in Australasia and the Asia-Pacific region within a wide range of industries, including food, home care, animal feed and industrial applications.
Enzyme Solutions has strong technical capabilities in the tailoring and blending of enzymes for various applications, with dedicated attention to quality and safety.
Barri Trotter, presently General Manager for Enzyme Solutions, will be Business Manager for the new Connell Brothers Australasia Enzyme Solutions business unit.
A division of Wilbur-Ellis Co., Connell Brothers is currently the largest marketer and distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients in Asia-Pacific and in recent years has significantly grown its regulated businesses, including food ingredients.
