AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands - Bio-based products company Corbion announced that both Gerard Hoetmer and Koos Kramer will step down from their positions during the company’s annual general meeting on May 12, 2014. The company’s supervisory board has nominated Tjerk de Ruiter as CEO and Eddy van Rhede van der Kloot as CFO. Together with incoming CTO Sven Thorma?hlen, they will constitute the Board of Management of Corbion as of May 12, subject to shareholder approval.

Mr. de Ruiter is Chief Executive Officer and President of LS9 Inc., an industrial biotechnology company based in San Francisco. Before joining Corbion, he successfully finalized the sale of LS9 to biodiesel company Renewable Energy Group (REG).

Mr. van Rhede van der Kloot is currently SVP Finance at Corbion in Amsterdam. Previously, he served for seven years as CFO of Purac, a division of CSM.
