Superior Materials Inc. Receives Two Awards
GARDEN CITY, NY - Superior Materials Inc., Garden City, NY, has received two awards recognizing its leadership as a distributor and sales agent company.
White minerals producer Imerys Corp. announced that Superior Materials won its 2013 Top Sales Award for Exceptional Service and Support to Imerys and its customers for the Imerys calcium carbonate product line. Michelle Mercurio, Imerys’ National Distribution Manager, presented the award to Steven Kafka, President of Superior Materials, during the recent American Coatings Show in Atlanta. Imerys’ U.S. calcium carbonate business unit is based in Roswell, GA, and has manufacturing facilities throughout the United States.
The company was awarded the Evonik Corp.'s Sipernat Distributor of the Year Award at this year’s American Coatings Show. Superior earned the award as the distributor with the greatest growth in Sipernat precipitated silica sales for the 2013 calendar year.
Superior Materials, soon celebrating its 70th anniversary as a privately held, fourth-generation distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, covers the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and near Midwest for companies selling into the CASE, plastics, inks, personal care, food and pharma, and allied industries.
