PARIS - Protex International, Paris, France, has acquired Chartwell International Inc., Attleboro Falls, MA.

Larry Cohen will remain with the company as a consultant, and there are no changes planned in the agent and distribution system that has been set up by Chartwell.

The name Chartwell, which enjoys broad-based international recognition, will continue to be used for the company's adhesion promoter family.

Protex International is a diversified, privately held company with sales into a range of end markets including specialty chemicals, coatings, textile, electronics, water pretreatment, food and perfume.
