This is the second consecutive year IVL has received this ranking. Factors that increased the company’s score include its ambition to use 16% bio-based and 10% recycled raw materials (rPET) as feedstock by 2030, and safer green chemistry substitutions to reduce toxicity from raw materials and production processes.

The agreement strengthens Azelis’ portfolio of pigment products in the coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers (CASE), and advanced materials & additives (AM&A) markets in France and Benelux. It includes the pigment portfolio that Sun Chemical acquired from BASF in 2021, and is an expansion of the long-standing partnership between Sun Chemical and Azelis.

Following an in-depth assessment by EcoVadis, Archroma further improved its score by four points (from 78/100 to 82/100). The company says the improvement is due to its ongoing efforts in sustainable procurement, focusing on supply chain transparency and best practice sharing with suppliers and industry peers.

All Perstorp production plants use water for multiple purposes: as a solvent for chemical reactions, a carrier for products, a heat-transfer medium, and for cooling. The Stenungsund project will enable wastewater from the water treatment plant to be further purified and reused at the Perstorp Oxo production plant.

Under the PPA, the Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai will purchase approximately 300 gigawatt hours of green power annually from CGN's wind and solar farms in Lenghu, China. The agreement will reduce Covestro's carbon emissions in China by around 126,000 metric tons of CO2 per year.

With the launch of Valtris’ digital commerce portal, the company aims to make its plasticizers portfolio more visible and accessible to the market. Valtris chose Agilis, a provider of innovative digital commerce solutions for the chemical industry, to build and run the company’s cloud-based digital commerce portal.

Philip Clark, the company’s new senior vice president and chief technology officer, is responsible for the company’s global technology and innovation strategies in alignment with its sustainability and growth targets. He also serves as the business leader that builds research capabilities in support of the company’s strategic direction.

Two of the awards – given by SOCMA (Society of Chemical Manufacturers Association) – went to MFG’s Kimberly Park plant: the Silver Award for EHS&S Planning & Operations, and the Performance Improvement Award for Stakeholder Communications based on its installation of a new KPI (Key Performance Indicator) communication board.
