Chemical Processing has awarded Vaaler Awards biennially for more than 50 years, honoring new coating technologies for contributions to operational safety.

This achievement comes at a pivotal moment in the industry, as looming bans on per- and polyfluoroalkyl subtances (PFAS) are driving significant changes in the coatings landscape.

The federation aims to reduce the coatings sector’s emissions by 38% by 2030.

The company hopes to accelerate the transition to a circular economy by building strong partnerships across value chains.  

Curing at temperatures 30 °C lower than traditional powder coatings means, the new coating can help customers cut energy consumption by as much as 20%.

This year's conference will be held April 18, 2024 in Livonia, Michigan. The Detroit Society for Coatings Technology is currently accepting abstracts for consideration.

The Alliance for Chemical Distribution announced the winners of its annual awards, which include the Distributor of the Year Award, Affiliate of the Year Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Employee of the Year Award.

The partnership will expand Bodo Möller Chemie’s European business with specialty dianhydrides.
