China is now the largest coating producer and consumer in the world. In 2009, China’s total coating output was close to 7.55 million tons. Afterwards, the sales of coating products in Asia rose by 30% in late 2010. Since then, industry coating projects have been maintaining a steady growth and due to the development of rural areas in China, the demand for paint products will increase within the next two years.

Local Chinese coating companies are looking to expand their business overseas, which will require them to focus on improving the quality of raw materials and equipment to compete in the international market. The Technology Congress is hosting more than 150 upper level decision makers including government officials.
