Innovators can compete for top-industry award honoring new products or technologies brought to market. This award is presented by the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) and is considered the industry’s top technical honor.
This article reviews several reasons for the excellent physical properties of polyurethanes and polyureas, as well as how these reasons differ between the two chemistries. Included, also, is a technology review and benefit/drawback analysis of several of the sub-coating classes, including conventional thin-film coatings as well as 100% solids, thick-film coatings.
Cast elastomers based on PDO-sebacate polyol exhibit an excellent combination of tensile properties, abrasion resistance, thermal, hydrolytic, and solvent resistance, as well as adhesion to metal substrates. These are desirable properties for cast elastomers intended for applications as protective coatings for pipes, and coatings for sieves typically used in drilling and mining applications.
The 65th Polyurethanes Technical Conference will take place Sept. 25-27, 2023, at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, and feature discussions on key regulatory and policy issues, educational sessions, and the latest innovations in the polyurethanes industry.
Clean up polyurethane production with renewable monomers that deliver an enhanced property profile. The feedstocks traditionally used for polyurethane production are petrochemical based.
The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry announced Riddell SpeedFlex Precision Diamond Football Helmet Liner and Dow AQUACHILL™ Cool Coating for Comfier Bedding as the finalists for the 2019 Polyurethane Innovation Award.
The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) announced that André Borschberg, one of the pilots and co-developer of the Solar Impulse solar-powered aircraft, will deliver the keynote address during the Opening Session of the 2015 Polyurethanes Technical Conference on October 5 in Orlando.
The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council has opened the call for entries for its 2014 Polyurethane Innovation Award.
