NEW ORLEANS - The School of Polymers and High-Performance Materials at The University of Southern Mississippi announced the short course offerings for the 2015 Waterborne, High-Solids and Powder Coatings Symposium. The symposium will take place February 8-13, 2015 in New Orleans.

 “Fundamentals of Coatings” is being offered February 8, 2015. Dr. Shelby F. Thames will teach this on-day course, which will provide entry-level chemists in the coatings industry an understanding of the basic principles involved in coatings.

“The Science of Formulating” is being offered February 9-10, 2015. Dr. Thames will also teach this two-day course, which will provide entry-level chemists in the coatings industry with an understanding of the principles involved in formulating coatings.

Dr. Robson F. Storey will teach “Reformulating to Waterborne Coatings” February 9-10. This two-day course will provide chemists in the coatings industry with an understanding of the principles involved in reformulating coatings systems to a waterborne system.
