CLINTON, NJ — The Eastern Coatings Show (ECS) is seeking submissions from academic, government and industry professionals for presentations at its biennial conference, which will be held May 13-15, 2019, at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. The goal of the Eastern Coatings Show is to further the advancement of coatings technology and offer educational and technical presentations to create an understanding of the theory, science, manufacturing and marketing of coatings, and to highlight the improvement of coatings performance and functionality beyond traditional expectations. Organizers are looking for presentations that feature novel research results in all aspects of industrial coatings technology.

Technical papers will be presented May 13- 15, 2019, during show hours. The ECS Technical Committee will be responsible for coordinating the agenda and logistics of all speakers.

Criteria for presentations include an abstract, biography, and picture, which should be sent to Chuck Shearer (charles.shearer@dsm.com) no later than Dec. 1, 2018. Incomplete submissions will not be considered for a speaker slot. An acceptance letters will be sent by Jan. 1, 2019. The presentation schedule will be published no later than Feb. 1, 2019.

For accepted presentations, a PowerPoint presentation should be forwarded to Chuck Shearer on or before March 1, 2019. Copies of the presentations will be distributed to attendees, so each presenter should include his or her permission or denial along with their presentation deck.

The ECS Technical Committee will review presentations based on their technical content and contribution to furthering the advancement of coatings technology. The presentation format should be as close to a short course as possible. Presentations providing educational insights about emerging technology will be given priority. Although a company logo may appear on the slides, it is not appropriate for a presentation to be overly promotional or laden with trade names. Presentations should be no less than 20 minutes and no longer than 30 minutes.
