CHARLOTTE, NC — The recent merger of Unimin and Fairmount Santrol resulted into the creation of Covia Holdings Corp., a leading provider of minerals and materials solutions for the industrial and energy markets. Two important businesses, specifically the high-purity quartz sands and the sales of materials solutions for coating and polymers, have been integrated into a new structure known as Sibelco North America Inc.

In coatings and polymers applications, the same people as before will handle the sales and marketing functions. The new configuration will allow the teams to leverage the global leadership and the specific market and technical expertise of the Sibelco group in this business, including the broadening of products for these applications.
