NEW YORK – Behr Paint revealed its 2019 Color of the Year: Blueprint S470-5, a mid-tone blue that charts a course for people to reimagine the colors and design of their home. Warmer than denim and softer than navy, this refined blue signifies authenticity, confidence and timelessness.

“Much like the sketches builders rely on to bring an architectural design to life, Blueprint S470-5 lays a foundation for consumers to make their unique vision a reality,” said Erika Woelfel, Vice President of Color and Creative services at Behr. “This universally appealing hue provides a steady stream of positivity and is poised to be an instant classic for years to come.”

To celebrate the unveiling of Blueprint S470-5, Behr is giving 2,019 do-it-yourselfers and color-lovers nationwide a free gallon of the BEHR® 2019 Color of the Year as a blueprint to reimagine their most meaningful spaces. On its own, Blueprint S470-5 makes an authentic, unassuming statement. But when paired with other

colors, it can add depth and variety, or behave like a neutral to anchor bolder palettes.

Four accompanying 2019 Color Trends palettes allow DIYers to use Blueprint S470-5 as a starting place for their design plan, to personalize and transform spaces to match their own taste.
