An energy services company, Shawcor Ltd. provides products and services for the pipeline and pipe services segment of the oil and gas industry, as well as related products for the petrochemical and industrial markets. The company’s Pipeline Performance group, which accounted for 86% of consolidated revenue in 2018, provides field-applied coating systems, factory-applied coating systems and logistics solutions. This segment includes the Bredero Shaw, Canusa-CPS, Shaw Pipeline Services, Flexpipe Systems, Guardian and Desert NDT divisions. Houston-based Bredero Shaw, ShawCor’s largest division, provides pipe coating solutions. The division provides specialized coating systems and related services for corrosion protection, insulation and weight coating applications on land, and marine pipeline including highly engineered corrosion and insulation systems for deep-water applications.

In 2018, the company reported total revenue of $1.409 billion Canadian dollars, of which $616 million Canadian dollars was reported as revenue from sale of products and $793 million Canadian dollars from the sale of services. Coatings sales are reported based on the company’s reported sale of products for 2018.
