Chromaflo Technologies Introduces New Quart Package
ASHTABULA, OH — Chromaflo Technologies announced the release of its new quart package in the Americas market. The more robust and sustainable package is a blow-molded HDPE container and will offer customers several advantages such as: easy removal of a tri-tab foil induction seal equipped with a screw-top lid that also allows for ease of opening; an induction seal below the lid that will prevent leaks and ensure product integrity; natural HDPE that is translucent allowing for visual confirmation of product color and container volume; and yield retention (clingage loss) of colorant within the package is lower than the sealed metal quarts. The package contains 25% PCR (post-consumer recycled) material as required by the state of California.
“We are excited to launch this new quart container in the Americas,” said Dean Doza, Managing Director & Vice President. “It will accommodate the stringent demands required for colorant packaging used at point of sale. The detailed process that we’ve taken to move to this new plastic quart from the current liter and sealed metal quart will ensure longer-term stability for our valued customers.”
Chromaflo has conducted robust testing to ensure the reliability of this new package, including individual container and case tests. The individual container tests include compression, drop, retention/yield, atmospheric pressure and shaker testing. Case tests include ISTA 3A small parcel test (over pack ship test), ISTA 2A Drop Test - Heavy product, 32", ISTA 3E (vibration, compression, shock) and compression testing.
Customers are advised that for an unspecified period following the launch of the new quart, they may receive shipments containing mixed package types. Chromaflo will make every effort during the transition to minimize this. Updated product pricing will follow shortly, and Territory Sales Managers will be in contact with customers regarding this.
