ALTANA Announces BYK Division Management Change
WESEL, Germany – ALTANA announced that Tammo Boinowitz will become Managing Director of BYK-Chemie GmbH based in Wesel, Germany, as of Jan. 1, 2021. After a two-month training and transitional phase, he will also become the President of BYK, the largest division of the specialty chemicals group ALTANA. He succeeds Christoph Schlünken, who has headed the division on an interim basis since October of last year in parallel with his responsibilities on ALTANA’s Management Board.
Boinowitz has many years of international management experience in specialty chemicals. He holds a PhD in chemistry and has held various management positions at Evonik since 2008. He currently heads the Care Solutions business unit as Senior Vice President.
