GUARULHOS, Brazil — Axalta recently announced it will become the official paint supplier for the Stock Car Pro Series in Brazil, the main category of motorsports in that country.

Through this partnership, Axalta’s laboratory and factory experts worked together to identify the right product for the cars participating in the racing series considering the performance they must have on the track and the wide range of colors each car needs. Axalta’s Duxone^® technology was chosen for this purpose due to its wide offering of pigments and color tools for adjustments. In this year’s lineup, the competition has 17 teams, with at least 30 confirmed competitors. Two spots are yet to be announced and, within the next few days, the series will reach its full roster of 32 cars.

The 2021 season of Stock Car Brazil begins April 25^th, at Ayrton Senna International Racetrack in Londrina, south of Brazil, and will have 12 rounds. Just like 2020, due to the pandemic, all sanitary guidelines will be in place and the races will not have an in-person audience. This start is subject to change based on the Covid-19 situation in Brazil.
