ARLINGTON, VA – National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) President and CEO Eric R. Byer and Board of Directors (BOD) Chairman Kurt Hettinga, along with other NACD BOD members and senior leadership representatives from NACD member company Univar Solutions, commemorated the association’s 50th anniversary by ringing the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Friday, May 28.

The bell ringing ceremony follows the introduction of H.Res. 383 earlier in the month by Congressman John Moolenaar (R-MI-4) recognizing the association’s 50th anniversary. “We’re honored to be recognized by leaders in business and government in this critical juncture in NACD’s history,” said NACD President and CEO Eric R. Byer. “NACD has come a long way since our inception in 1971. We’re proud to serve as the voice of the chemical distribution industry and thank Congressman Moolenaar and the New York Stock Exchange for helping commemorate the work we’ve done to advance the industry.”
