The show will take place May 16-18 at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, NJ. The Eastern Coatings Federation is excited to call for technical abstracts for presentations at the Eastern Coatings Show in 2023. Abstracts from industry, academia, government and non-profit groups are all encouraged to speak about work that will advance the field of coatings. Studies that include coatings applications, chemistries, theory, manufacture, safety, test methods and equipment are all welcome. The vision of the ECS is to educate the attendees and to highlight state-of-the art protection, aesthetics, and functionality that is possible today and in the foreseeable future.

Speakers will be presenting May 16-18, 2023. The ECS Technical Committee will review the submitted abstracts and determine which abstracts are accepted. The Committee will also coordinate the agenda of presentations.

To further industry innovation, Pflaumer Brothers, of Ewing, NJ, is sponsoring the awards to honor and recognize the top two technical papers showing the most outstanding technical innovations. The Pflaumer Honors for Innovation Award for the Most Outstanding Paper is an honorarium for $2000. The Pflaumer Honors for Innovation Award for Outstanding Paper is an honorarium for $1000.
 
The criteria for the presentations are listed below:

  • Abstract, Biography and Picture: An abstract is required for the presentation, biography and picture of the speaker to be forwarded to Chuck Jones (chuck.jones@ingevity.com) no later than December 2, 2022. Acceptance letters will be sent by February 24, 2023. The presentation schedule will be published no later than March 17, 2023.
  • The PowerPoint Presentation should be e-mailed to chuck.jones@ingevity.com on or before April 14, 2023. 
  • The ECS Technical Committee will be reviewing the presentations based on their technical content and contribution to the advancement of coatings technology. These speaker platforms are intended to educate the audience. Company logos are permitted on the title slide only, and no trade names are permitted in the Abstract or Presentation. The goal of the Eastern Coating Show is to further the advancement of coatings technology. Presentations that are deemed too commercial will not be accepted. Presentations should be no less than 20 minutes and no longer than 25 minutes to allow time for questions from the audience.
