The ChemQuest Group has appointed Abe Rezai as senior vice president. Rezai will support strategy development and key client engagements for the firm, including projects related to business transformation, technology development, and advisement for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. 

Rezai has more than 40 years of technical and leadership experience focused on chemistry and materials. He most recently served as vice president and chief technology officer for Sekisui Fuller, as well as previously holding roles with H.B. Fuller and Procter & Gamble. He has a track record of successfully delivering breakthrough business results, building collaborative relationships, developing and executing global commercialization strategies, and leading organizational transformation.

“In the years I have known Abe, he has consistently demonstrated a deep knowledge of the inner workings of successful organizations. He knows which levers to pull to drive success, including innovation, transformation, IP strategy, manufacturing systems, and processes. He is also an expert and thought leader for industries that are essential to ChemQuest’s knowledge base and 2025 strategy, primarily hygiene, consumer products, adhesives, and sealants,” said Daniel Murad, ChemQuest president and CEO.

Rezai earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and then went on to become a member of the faculty at Northwestern University, where he instructed students in organic chemistry. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is an inventor on over 100 patents related to specialty chemistry and commercial products. He is based in Huntington Beach, California, and speaks English, Farsi, and Japanese.
