Elementis, a specialty chemical supplier of rheology modifiers for paint, coatings, and industrial aqueous applications, announced the expansion of its 100% solid urethane rheology portfolio to the US market with its latest addition of RHEOLATE® PHX 7025.

This new 100% solid urethane rheology modifier underscores Elementis's ongoing commitment to leveraging rheology science to develop eco-friendly solutions that surpass traditional market offerings

“We are very proud to expand our RHEOLATE Powder NiSAT range in the US, providing the paint & coating industry an excellent option to improve their rheology profile for a wide range of paint and coating formulations. The product’s 100% solid form contributes to up to 80% CO2 reduction on transportation, reducing storage space in warehouses and increasing resistance to low temperatures during storage and transportation. This results in a positive impact from a sustainability perspective”, said Gerjan van Laar, Global Marketing Segment Manager Architectural.

The range consists of the new RHEOLATE PHX 7025, which creates up to 10% more efficiency on usage as a high-shear builder. It not only ensures superior spatter but also creates excellent stain resistance. RHEOLATE 208 is a solution for superior flow and leveling, as well as excellent brush drag and creates up to 18% more efficiency on usage as a high-mid shear builder. RHEOLATE FX 1100 is the low-mid-shear builder with higher film build and creating an alkyd- like appearance.
