Univar Solutions Acquires Brad-Chem

Univar Solutions has acquired UK-based Brad-Chem Holdings and its affiliated entities. The acquisition includes Brad-Chem’s joint venture, Brad-Kem, which is co-owned by Brad-Chem and its partner, DEM, based in Belgium.
Brad-Chem is a leader in the distribution and blending of specialty lubricant additives and corrosion control products. The company’s product portfolio includes multi-metal corrosion inhibitors, copper passivators, solid lubricants and dispersions. Brad-Chem serves a wide range of industries, including lubricants, metal treatment, cleaning, deicing and water treatment. The company operates in over 40 countries across Europe.
The acquisition will allow Univar Solutions to expand its existing Ingredients & Specialties business. The company will now be able to offer a larger portfolio of specialty products and additive blending capabilities. Univar Solutions will also be able to better meet the growing demand for the distribution and blending of specialty lubricant additives, specialty base stocks and functional additives.
